Surgery a success…

For those of you that don’t know I had surgery on Monday morning to repair a hernia. Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while but I have been busy working and getting ready to be out of commission for a couple of weeks.

Yesterday was pretty rough but thanks to my friend Vicodin and a nice comfy bed I survived. Today I feel like I have been beaten with a baseball bat all up and down my right side but the pain on the inside seems to be less. Here’s a recap of the past few weeks.

Ashley: Still driving and getting actually pretty good at it. Her choir attended festival yesterday and got a second place rating. She predicted this as she has been saying all year that over half the girls don’t take it seriously. This is very disconcerting to my rule following daughter. She is having a party next Wednesday since we are homebound for Spring break for the first time EVER!!! I think she is just taking advantage of the fact that I can’t make it up and down the basement stairs as quickly as usual. That’s ok because the next door neighbors have this cool video baby monitor if I need it.

Michael: Just returned from the Big Ten tournament with his peeps, Dad, Bob, Sandy and Frank. Had a great time and as always got a cool tshirt. His is busy preparing his NCAA brackets and I hope not making any bets with his allowance. The love of his life is still Rachel. They are the cutest couple and I dread the day when one of them “breaks up” with the other. I will be crushed.
Not much else going on….please excuse any grammar errors due to the narcotics..
