About Me

Welcome to Kim’s Crazy Life. I’m a happily married, midlife maniac raising four talented millennials, and I’m a caregiver for my crazy Southern mother (Bless Her Heart).

I  juggle a full-time job as a geriatric consultant, write for the Oakland Press and perform stand up comedy (a.k.a therapy). I’m crammed between two generations and no one is listening to me. Sound familiar?

I thought after the years of child raising, PTO bake sales and baseball double headers in scorching heat that I would have a few good years to make all my dreams come true before I needed to start touring retirement communities.  It has become apparent to me that the time between the PTO and assisted living apartments is not going to be all about me. You would think all that volunteer work would garner me some good karma. Looks like all that cookie baking was all in vain. So I need you, my friends, to come along with me on this crazy ride! Together we might just make it out of this crazy midlife with our sanity secure.

Grab a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a slice of chocolate cake  and get ready to join me as a member of the MIDLIFE MANIACS!
